Magnanni Industrial & Commercial

NEW ALBANY, OHIO – Family-owned Magnanni Shoes has a pedigree that goes back 4 generations. The Spanish shoemaker started in Almansa, Spain in 1954 and has maintained a tradition of impeccable style and unparalleled quality. With a growing customer base that includes the likes of Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, Magnanni is just starting to hit their stride. Before the much needed expansion, the company may have had 10,000 to 20,000 shoes moving through their distribution center. They wanted to see that number increase, but simply didn’t have the room. Working with M + A Architects of Columbus, OH, Magnanni made bold plans for a new 15,000 square distribution center. Using Fabcon precast panels, Magnanni was assured that their new U.S. office and distribution center would be up and operational in time for the 2015 Holiday rush. Fabcon’s 12’ width VersaCore+ panels went up fast and gave the architect the design flexibility to create a distinctive new home for the cobblers. Always the fashionistas, the Magnanni panels are a chic steel-form finish with cast-in reveals and an onyx paint job completed in the field. The decidedly Euro look is nearly as sharp as a pair of Magnanni calfskin loafers. The way things are going, Magnanni executives are convinced that their footprint will be likely expand again in the near future. When it does, their building site as well as their Fabcon constructed envelope will easily accommodate an additional 15,000 square feet.
