FABCON employee for 10+ years

Jose Perez will tell you that being a sales engineer is great profession because every day is different. He likes getting out to visit his clients for the different projects he works on and likes that it’s never boring.

“Prior to sales, I was a draftsman for 15 years,” explains Perez. “Not being tied to a desk every day is nice.”

We asked Perez a few questions about his job and what he likes about FABCON. Here’s what he told us:

My daily duties:“I call on exterior customers in a variety of commercial, industrial, municipal and other large scale projects. I work with internal project management teams and field teams to ensure quality work is completed.”

Best part of working at FABCON:

“The variety is my favorite part. I love getting out to visit clients and the daily challenges I face.”

What I appreciate most about FABCON:

“I’m always treated fairly and supported by leadership. My immediate superiors and upper management want me to succeed. They understand that my success benefits them – and that’s refreshing. They take my calls and if they can’t, I always hear back from them.”

Why I would encourage others to work at FABCON

Perez has 30 years in the industry, and most of his customers are people he would call friends that he respects and admires.

When he’s not at work, Perez spends time with his wife, four children and other close relatives. His three favorite hobbies are reading, fishing and brewing beer at home. He is currently attempting to teach himself to play piano.
