FABCON Announces March Staff Additions and Promotion

FABCON is pleased to announce several new staff additions, as well as two internal position changes.

Berni Rakauskas – Environmental Health and Safety Manager (Mahanoy City, PA)
Michelle Peterson – Senior Recruiter (Savage, MN)
Dave Fennell – Drafter (Mahanoy City, PA)
Jeremy McCartney – Drafter (Mahanoy City, PA)
Brian Katchur – Plant Engineer (Mahanoy City, PA)
Alex Crenshaw – Production Supervisor (Grove City, OH)

Bernie Rakauskas brings 20 years of EHS and compliance experience across several industries including manufacturing, transportation, solid waste, R&D and the power generation sector. He has been married 31 years with three sons, ages 29, 23 and 19.

He enjoys sports and has coached football, baseball and basketball.  In addition, he likes to hunt and fish.

Michelle Peterson joins FABCON as the company’s new Senior Recruiter.  In her role, Michelle will conduct full life-cycle recruiting activities for professional and administrative positions, lead our internship program, and play an active role in forming the future direction of our talent acquisition programs and systems.  Michelle earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix.  She brings to us diverse experiences from previous recruiting roles in which she added significant value through tactical and strategic contributions.

Michelle originally hails from Milwaukee, WI, and when she is not hard at work professionally, likes to cheer on her favorite teams (Go Badgers and Packers!) with her husband Mike and dog Oscar in the new home they recently built.

Dave Fennell and Jeremy McCartney have both joined FABCON’s Pennsylvania team as Drafters.  Previously, Dave worked in quality assurance at FABCON for two years, where he gained valuable plant operations experience.  Jeremy McCartney comes to Fabcon from Tri-Vet Design & Fabrication, where he was a Drafter/Designer working on a wide variety of building styles.

Brian Katchur joins FABCON’s Pennsylvania team as the newest Plant Engineer.  In his role, Brian will support much of the company’s Pennsylvania efforts, as well as company-wide initiatives.   Brian and his wife Jennifer reside in Beaver Meadows- with their son Joseph (12).  Brian enjoys hunting and fishing- and being an all-around woodsman.  He works on their 20 acre farm as a hired hand… for his wife.

In March, Alex Crenshaw was promoted to Production Supervisor at FABCON’s Grove City, Ohio plant.  Alex first joined FABCON’s Ohio team in June, 2014 as a member of the casting crew.  During his time at FABCON, Alex has excelled in every role he has held.

In his free time, Alex enjoys cheering on the Buckeyes and Ravens (since he hails from Baltimore), seeing movies and spending time with his four children and girlfriend, Erica.
